Materialis sugget that we can't seem to overcome the desire to shop and accumulate things. Is the buying frenzy what makes people feel good, hence a form of therapy or is it just habituated greed? According to Ephesians 6:12, it is not the human being (flesh and blood) that we struggle with, but against cosmic powers of darkness. Christians are expected to have different values than the world, such as love, truth, forgiveness, sexual purity and not be greedy for materials things. People are not perfect so they will be attacked by that bad or evil force. .

About the Book
Christians are not aware that they are great consumers of material goods due to the evil influence of Satan. They are very competitive, require status symbols, and are influenced by the media also. They are not aware of their behavior because the evil influence seeks to keep them blind to spiritual things, keeping one foot in the world and one in the church.
About the Author
The author is one who was blind and carnal for more than forty years. After baptism by the Holy Spirit, truth was revealed, and she experienced Jesus Christ. She possesses a BA in psychology from Brooklyn College in Brooklyn (1993), received an MA in pastoral care and counseling in 2015, worked as a social worker for ACS Children’s Services in Protective and Placement for abused and neglected children. She was called to preach the gospel in October 2003. She is an associate minister at Bethany Baptist Church, was licensed to preach in 2009, and has been part of the missionary ministry for thirty years.
