Born and raised all my life in a little country church on the hill called “Union Hill Church”, and referred to by many as “The Great Speckled Bird”. Union Hill Church was always a church where many faiths came to worship. In my teenage years the church went independent so that all faiths could worship, and especially those that believed in the baptism in the Holy Ghost. My Granny Swayne, who was the first elder and a pillar of the church at that time said she wanted the church to have the freedom of the Spirit.

In 1991 God sent a revival that resulted in forty-seven souls being saved and the building of a new sanctuary.
About the Author
Our church is unique in that so many people put aside their busy schedule to write a part of this book. Each of us has a stake in this, for we have dedicated our lives to Jesus Christ and his cause. Union Hill has become not only a place of worship but a place of fellowship where we can congregate together for fellowship and for worship.
