WHAT ARE YOU CARRYING TO GOD?
Psa 55:22 Cast your cares on the LORD and he will sustain you; he will never let the righteous fall.
I was recently reminded by a friend of mine of an old spiritual hymn, ‘What a Friend We Have in Jesus”. In that song it says; all our sins and grieves to bear, what a privilege to carry everything to God in prayer. Oh what peace we often forfeit, oh what needless pain we bear, all because we do not carry everything to God in prayer. Beloved, in the society that we live in, unfortunately, we want a quick fix, and not a permanent solution. Therefore, we will not carry our problems no matter how big or small to Jesus because we must wait for Him to answer. The above verse says cast your cares that word means to throw down in a sudden motion, to hurl, to let go of but how many of us are doing that? Exactly what are we carrying to God? We know without a shadow of doubt that we do not have the wisdom to fix our cares our ourselves without the help of our Heavenly Father, yet, because of our wills we refuse to cast them to the one person who can and will sustain us. He promises that He will never let the righteous fall. Won’t you take Him at His word today and cast all of your cares upon the Lord and this time, leave them there. About the Author
Mrs. Morgan lives in Maryland with her husband, and they have three sons and three lovely daughters-in-law. They have been blessed with nine (9) grandchildren; the newest additions to the family are three-year-old twin boys. They are both pastors and have a passion for Christian marriages. She loves to write and is dedicated to getting God’s Word out any way that is made available to her. This is the second book that God has allowed her to write; the first one, with the foreword by her husband, is entitled “Seven Steps to Keeping Intimacy After You Say I Do!” It is her desire that the Holy Spirit would minister to the heart of his people as they read. She delights in the truth of God’s Word and her ability that he allows her to share with family and friends. It is only by God’s anointing and his grace and mercy that she is able to encourage the hearts of his people.
