Revelation

The first thing we need to understand here is the message to the last church, which is seen in Revelation 3:14–22, the church in Laodicea. Jesus’s message is clear to them, for He says, “I know thy works, and they are neither hot nor cold.” We have in many churches today people who call themselves Christians, but they preach a watered- down message. That watered-down message is one that is lukewarm. Many, not all, are lukewarm, just as the church in Laodicea. We have in the final message to the churches in chapters 2 and 3 the end of the time of the church, the church that exists at the time Christ will return for His bride; the last and worst church of all the churches. Christ is the Great Amen we see in Revelation 3, and as such, He is the foundation of that church Paul told us in 1 Corinthians 3:11. He is the unchanging God of the universe, the head of the church. We see through Scripture He never changes in His purpose nor in His promise. The message to the church in Laodicea concludes the messages

to the churches. It brings an end to the time of the church on the earth. The name Laodicea means “the rights of the people.” That sounds like the church we have today. That sounds like our society today. Today it seems the church is all about the rights of the people to do as they please; the time of the rights of the people to worship as they feel right about instead of worshipping as God has commanded. We see this in our world today; the authority of God and His word are being denied. God has been removed from school textbooks. God’s word, the Bible, is being removed from public view in public buildings. People are fighting to get prayer removed totally from schools and even in public. That is the Laodicea period of the church age. Many prominent pastors in our time are turning from biblical truth, preaching and teaching a lukewarm gospel. One that says “faith in Jesus” is not necessarily the only means of salvation. An excerpt from section one Chapter 1. The Beginning of Judgment

As John is watching things unfold in heaven, he has just seen the Lamb receive the book with seven seals. The one who is qualified to redeem all of creation is Jesus. In Verse 1 of Chapter 6, we now see the Lamb open the seals. The thunder is loud as one of the seals is opened. Revelation 6:1: “And I saw when the Lamb opened one of the seals, and I heard, as it were the noise of thunder, one of the four beasts saying, come and see.” As we begin Chapter 6, let me reemphasize that the Great Tribulation—that is, the seven-year period of time—cannot begin until the redeemed of the Lord are gathered around Him in glory and crowned there. This cannot be emphasized enough. No saint in heaven currently has a crown. Paul in 2 Timothy 4:8 states, “Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them

also that love his appearing.” That day when the Bride has been gathered home and assembled around the BEMA seat of judgment, is the day we will all receive our crowns!

Center of Prophecy

The scene is in heaven as we see the book of Revelation chapter 11 opening. Another angel comes to John. John again wonders about all the things happening. Yet he is following the messenger’s instruction as we now see verse 1 of Revelation chapter 11. Revelation 11:1 says, “And there was given me a reed like unto a rod: and the angel stood, saying, Rise, and measure the temple of God, and the altar, and them that worship therein.” We are at the center of prophetic subjects here in verse 1. Those subjects include prophecy for Jerusalem, the temple, the altar, and those who worship. The worshippers and the altar are recognized and accepted by God; 1 John says he is given a reed like a rod. One very important key to a sign, which we must understand in studying prophecy, is that there is a key portion. This lets us know the time is very close. The key here is the fact that John is told to take the reed and measure the temple of God. Where is this temple of God?

Praise and the Marriage of the Lamb

We are at the brink of the marriage of the Lamb. First we see the celebration of the fall of mystery Babylon and the great whore. As we begin with Chapter 19 and verse 1 “And after these things I heard a great voice of much people in heaven, saying, Alleluia; Salvation, and glory, and honour, and power, unto the Lord our God:” After the Angel declared the fall of Babylon, a voice from heaven called the people of God. They are given specific orders take vengeance on her! After the weeping and mourning from the kings, merchants and the captains of the sea. Another voice had called the people of God to rejoice at the overthrow of this great city! Then right on cue those in Heaven rejoice just as commanded in Chapter 18. They say “Alleluia, salvation and glory and honor and power, unto the Lord our God!” God is given praise! Those souls we saw earlier in Revelation. Those under the throne who asked how long oh Lord! They are rejoicing over her destruction. The Bride the church that had been Snatched Away is rejoicing in Heaven with them. For in them there had been Martyr’s too. The Prophets of old were rejoicing for they too had been avenged. Excerpt from Section 4 Chapter 1
