Preface
The purpose of this book is to spiritually challenge the body of Christ to seek God for spiritual maturity—not through the evaluation of others but in self-evaluation. Jesus has given man one primary commandment for edifying the kingdom of God. This commandment single-handedly puts all the others in perspective. Without being condescending to another person’s self-worth, he shows the world to whom the saints belong. There is no greater method of communicating selflessness than in the actions of agape. Agape is a kind of love that affects life more deeply than any circumstantial emotion that comes and goes based on a given situation. God gave his only Son for man’s sake to demonstrate the effectiveness of love. This unconditional love is the standard God used to identify Christians with the body of Christ.
Love is such a powerful tool that it makes a person love those who are hateful. Love doesn’t scourge a person for falling into sin; instead, it will overpower evil and do the one thing that it does best: love. Unfortunately, too many saints focus on the alternative and practice those things that are unkind. Perhaps cruelty might be a more precise word. Compassion is quite difficult for many Christians, whereas Jesus showed empathy before he came in the flesh, during his stay on earth, and after he returned to glory. Christians also find it hard to pray for certain people, but Jesus, the Great I AM, prayed for those for whom he died. God, in the second person of the Trinity, kneeled down on his knees to pray for people. So the question is: who do we think we are? Jesus even prayed for those who put him on the cross. Is there a significant reason why some Christians fail to pray for their enemies or people who hurt them? Do they proclaim to be better than the Almighty? Or are they trapped in the old man’s mind-set? The power of love resides in every child of God, and therefore it must be displayed.
In spite of the cost for his ransom, in spite the pain of being separated from his Father, and in spite of the suffering and the shame, love sacrificed it all to reconcile man back to himself. He became the perfect example for Christians to mimic. This book is a challenge for all Christians to look in the mirror (the Holy Bible) in order to see what the Spirit has to say and then make the necessary changes to mature in Christ.

Therefore, the eternal love of agape is the only way to truly satisfy an empty soul.
About the Author
Elnora Wilson was born and raised in Uniontown, Alabama. Before she started writing informative books, most of her time was spent being a full time mother of three.
Her first book, Youth Ministries: Sexual Purity, encouraged teenagers and young adults to live by Christian morals. All of her writings are driven by her passion to use her spiritual gifts and talents to encourage the body of Christ to love one another according to the word of God.
