The days had turned into weeks and the weeks had turned into months, while Paul and myself would sit and talk. Between the Bible studies and our talks I hadn't realized that five months had passed us by. The funny part about it is in all this time Paul and I never asked one another what we had done to be put in jail. I laughed at my thought and Paul asked me what was so funny. I told him my thought and he laughed with me. Paul turned to me and this usually meant words of wisdom were coming. To my surprise this is what he said instead. David he spoke in that deep loving voice, let me tell you the rest of my story if you don't mind.
" Nancy had died and I recovered from my negative thoughts and retained my business, I was successful by the grace, mercy and love of God. I still thank Him to this day even right here in jail with you my dear friend. So I did the one last thing I knew I could do Paul said to me, I sold my business and gave my hardest of workers a good share as I didn't need much. I then moved away from my home town and started a new mission, I became a rag picker of sorts I guess." I stopped Paul by saying, " you collected junk Paul why would you do that? Paul didn't you have more then you needed?" Paul just laughed as it boomed through the dorm like always when he laughed real hard and loud at me.
Paul then replied by saying, " I became a rag picker of the human kind. I sought out people who thought they were worthless, unsaveable, unreachable and incapable of having a successful life. As I would find them one by one I would tell them my story and the five secrets to success." I stopped Paul by saying, " didn't that take forever and how did you hold their attention that long." Paul just laughed again as he smiled at me and said, " oh my silly child I had written it and typed it and made copies of it. I handed it out one by one after I convinced the people two still cared, God in heaven and me here on the earth with them.
I asked Paul if his message was successful and he replied that he was sure it was. He smiled and said to me he knew it helped at least one. I asked Paul how he knew it had helped at least one, he replied that the one it had help was himself and he was sure it had helped others. How are you certain it helped others I asked Paul.. His answer came quickly as he said, " more then once someone would stop him in the street and thanked him for the book and that was more then money could ever pay."
Paul finally told me what had got him put in jail, I prayed to God and asked him to let me help one last person before I died. I looked at Paul in disbelief and said you prayed to go to jail. David Paul replied " I didn't know I was going to end up in jail it just seemed to happen and then there you were right in her with me searching for help." Then Paul asked me if I had found the five laws of God. I told him that I was still searching for them in my studies. In all of my studies that I had received back my test scores were ninety percent or better and the lowest one was eighty five percent. Paul then turned to me with a smile on his face and said. " The five laws are these, count your blessings of how your body functions to move breath see and hear. Proclaim your reality of how God made you. Go all the miles you can for everyone you can. Use your power of choice more wisely towards other people and yourself. And there is one more law that supersedes the other four laws, the law of love. Do all things out of love for God all others and of course yourself." Paul then said he would talk to me soon as he needed to go lay down and rest for he was very tired.
