About the Book
Today’s Great Taboo . . . Marriage is written to show married couples just how much society has affected or is trying to affect their marriages. The book answers the “hard” questions husbands and wives are afraid to discuss! Some of these are about having adulterous relationships outside of marriage and calling it normal. Another is about the fact that it is okay for women to seek intimate emotional comfort from another male besides their husband. More than anything, society portrays sanctified marriage as out of date or just plain unimportant. These are only few of the points that will be discussed. So if your marriage falls into these categories or you believe your marriage is not where it needs to be, then Today’s Great Taboo . . . Marriage is for you!
About the Author
Kortia Cousin is a minister of the word of God who uses his particular gifts of dealing with the downtrodden to further the kingdom of God. His outreach ministry began fifteen years ago on February 11, 2001. He has helped believers both nationally and internationally in their walk with Jesus Christ. Most notably he helped Muslims who chose Jesus as their Lord and Savior to relocate from the Middle East to a place where they could be free of impending death from their own family members.
He is also the author of Why is There Famine in My Marriage? He currently has many other projects underway as guided by the Lord. What is unique about the books Kortia has written and will be writing is that a great portion of the funds earned will be used to help needy families, help troubled teens, and feed and clothe the homeless. Still other funds will go towards helping marriages through counseling and anything else God directs him to do.
He received his Bachelor of Arts in Religion with the emphasis being marital and teen counseling from Liberty University in the spring of 2013. His certifications are Caring for People God’s Way 1&2, Marriage Works, Breaking Free (Addictions), Healthy Sexuality and Caring for Kids God’s Way. He also was a member of the American Association of Christian Counselors from November 2010-2011.
Kortia has been married to his high school sweetheart for 23 years. They have been blessed with three girls and one boy. He and his family are from and reside in the state of Louisiana. The motto that he lives by is “Stay the course, keep the faith, and be His example!”
