The Basileia Code

So why am I writing this book? I’ll be honest with you, I don’t want to write this book. In my 30+ years of ministry, I have never authored anything beyond songs, sermons, and my degree thesis way back in Bible college. I would be quite content to continue preaching in my own pulpit and those at the other churches, conferences, and camp meetings that offer the occasional opportunity.
But I don’t work for myself, I work for God. And apparently, He wants me to write. Have you ever found yourself trying to fly below the radar in order to avoid things God is instructing you to do? My experience is that God is not impressed with my tactic to stay so busy working for Him, that I justifiably don’t have time to obey Him. I’ve spent the last two and a half years preaching my guts out, teaching every aspect of what God has revealed to me, and publishing those messages in video form online. But it is not enough and God will NOT LEAVE ME ALONE. Believe it or not, I’m thankful for that. I am a minister, and therefore a servant of God. This is what I signed up for all those years ago when I said “yes” to my calling.
I even started a Bible college which has just seen its first round of ministerial students receive their initial level of ministerial credentialing at our fellowship’s General Conference. What an incredible experience…but it didn’t get me out of what God has instructed me to do…”Write the vision, and make it plain…”. (Hab. 2:2)
So, here I am a couple of years after my encounter with the Spirit of Revelation (Eph. 1:17-18) and evidently, YOU are so important to God that as you hold this work in your hands, He wants you to know He didn’t let me slide out from under what He called me to do: To communicate a revelation of His truth from my heart to yours. I pray that you will open your mind and your spirit to hear from God as you read the pages of this book. It really is the least you can do after what you’ve put me through. HA! (That was a joke.)
This book will be saturated with Scripture. It’s the only way I know. The Apostle Paul put it best in his sermon on Mars Hill in Athens, Greece: “For in him we live, and move, and have our being…” (Acts 17:28). If we can’t find Scripture to substantiate our assertions, WE SHOULD JUST SHUT UP AND SIT DOWN! Since you cannot separate God from His Word (See John 1:1), and since Jesus is the WORD INCARNATE (See John 1:14), to live, move and have your being in HIM is to live, move and have your being in His WORD. In the end analysis, your opinion and mine are irrelevant on their own merits. What matters is what the immutable Word of God, preserved through the ages by God Himself, has to say to us.
I have spent many years being constrained to preach only the things I could substantiate through Scripture, while being restrained by the Spirit of God NOT to preach the seeds of revelation sprinkled into my spirit, but not yet fully matured in “good ground.” Those who insist on preaching, writing, teaching the “shiny objects” that have been dangled before them without a full understanding, without allowing them to grow, mature, and survive the winds of scrutiny, do so at their own peril. These are most often those who lead themselves and others into false doctrine.
“The Basileia Code” is the product of more than 20 years of waiting, praying, listening, pondering, and then waiting some more. God’s timing is always perfect. And although the experience of October 4th, 2014 was supernaturally transformational, we MUST measure everything by the standard set forth in Scripture itself: “…In the mouth of two of three witnesses shall every word be established.” (II Cor. 13:1)
I believe God put this book in your hands. As you take this journey with me, question everything you read and measure it against the gold standard – The Word of God. Question even the things whispered into your spirit by the Holy Ghost, the author of the Word. If it is true, if it is real, it will stand the scrutiny of the “Two or Three Witnesses” test. The Holy Ghost, who is the Spirit of Truth, is big enough to survive being questioned by the likes of you and me!
I don’t know about you, but I desperately want to hear my Bridegroom say:
…Well done, good and faithful servant; thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of the lord.” (Mat. 25:23)
And the only way that will happen is by doing the WORK! A lazy servant will surely NEVER be given the keys to the kingdom to rule and reign with Christ! Rather a workman who wants to gain his master’s confidence must show himself worthy of that trust:
Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. (II Tim 2:15)
The Kingdom of God is not an entitlement program. It doesn’t matter what family you were born into, which denomination you call your own, how many “famous” people you know, or how many years you have served the Lord. What have you, not your neighbor, done for the master lately? Does He trust you enough to share His secrets with you?
