For hundreds of years now, people have progressively become so far removed from the concept of God, that His distinctiveness , omnipotence and vastness has been limited to man’s narrow perception and understanding of Him, the world and life itself. As a result, God has, in some ways been dethroned. The One who created the heavens and the earth, the beasts of the fields, the fouls of the air, of all that is seen and unseen; who created mankind itself does not register as a reality in the minds of a great number of people (Genesis chapter 1). This is a direct result of the fallen church.
Previously, I made reference to the fact that the church is broken down into four components: the church individual, the church local, the church universal, and the church invisible. Collectively these make up the body of Christ at large. If the church individual is not firmly rooted in the ways of God, the church local and the church universal don’t stand a chance at being a strong source for the growth and development of the individuals who unite there. In other words, the local and universal church is only as successful as the individuals that join forces to carry out God’s will in the earth. Strong individual churches and strict adherence to Jesus’ pre-established order within the church is the solid foundation that enables the local and universal churches to withstand the tests of time (Matthew 7:26).
Unfortunately, the body of Christ has been greatly affected by the distortion and exclusion of intricate details of God’s Word as time passed. The choices made by individuals in the past to eliminate certain principles specified in His Word has opened the door for the deception of the enemy to come in, take root in churches and to be passed on from generation to generation. As a result, individuals are receiving a “diluted” word that is easier for people to accept. Now here we are today with churches that are built on “mushy” foundations of compromise, and subject to sinking.
Individuals who do not receive consistent teaching and training of God’s unadulterated Word are not fully equipped to provide the necessary information that prepares others to know and receive the full benefit package (so to speak) of God’s Word. Many individual churches have been trained according to a word that does not encompass all that God has spoken. A great majority of these individuals have become local church leaders who also exclude important, life sustaining segments of God’s will and ways as they are written in the Bible.

About the Book
Mankind has progressed to an age filled with people who have never heard of or been taught about God. Others have an awareness of him yet deny his existence based on negative reports or experiences with acclaimed Christians. There are also the loyal churchgoers who have become complacent in the religious traditions set in place. They are giving the appearance of right living in Christ but not partaking in the love and abundant life that is promised. It is unfortunate that these people have disqualified and rejected God based on another person’s actions or beliefs.
Don’t Settle for a Fall was written to assist nonbelievers and believers alike to discover or rediscover Christianity as it was originally established by Jesus Christ. Its ultimate purpose is to create an opportunity for people to develop a relationship with God.
The Holy Spirit-inspired words in this book will:
• Provide understanding of who God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit are and the importance of developing an intimate relationship with them;
• Explain what Christianity is and Christians’ responsibility in the earth is;
• Clarify the purpose of the church;
• Explain what it means for Christians to fall; and
• Encourage those weak in faith to continue their spiritual race despite what other people say or do.
About the Author
Debra J. Salter Smith is a native of Youngstown, Ohio, with a thirty year nursing background. Her spiritual awareness was sparked at an early age and became a passion as the years passed. Debra witnessed the bitter and sweet aspects of religion from her personal experience with Pentecostal, Catholic, Baptist, and Non-Denominational churches. After many years of study and training, she discovered her call as a teacher and prophet. Now a licensed elder, she has an undeniable, non-compromising relationship with God that lead to her being commissioned to write her first book, Don’t Settle for a Fall.
