It was a race against the clock. I was coaxing little ones into their church clothes hoping they were not rejected from being too itchy, feeding the family and preparing lunch before I’d eaten a drop of breakfast. This typical madness kind of came with the territory. Sometimes I’d arrive to church and as the greeters had their big smiles I had to reach way in and do my best acting job as I answered them, “Oh, I’m great today, thank you!” There were many Sunday morning challenges. But if you want to send an already stressed out woman over the edge, sit her down after she’s been through the ringer, and then say, “Today’s passage will be from Proverbs 31".
