About the Book
It is February 14, 1967 in Maplewood, Tennessee, when little Belinda enters the world believing that her father’s life has just ended in a railroad accident. With help from the midwife, Ms. Elaine, who fervently prays for a way to help, the community joins together to assist the family in their time of need. As Ms. Elaine’s steadfast faith guides the family through their difficult times, Belinda grows up beside her older brother, Marcus, who is determined to loyally care for his sister and mother. While Belinda witnesses the power of prayer and faith in God in every aspect of her life, she has no doubt she is loved not just by her family, but also her friends and the community. As she matures into a young woman prepared to step into the next chapter in her life, Belinda discovers the importance of forgiveness, loving others unconditionally, and putting God first, no matter what her hardships may be. In this inspirational novel, a little girl who grows up believing she’s fatherless, until her life takes an unusual turn, she learns to rely on faith and the power of prayer to carry her through her challenges and a fruitful path in life! I was born in a small town called Emelle Alabama; to the proud parents of Robert Earl and Cassie B. Bryant. I am the eighth child of a family of ten. I accepted Christ at a young age. I have always been inspired to write, even as a kid. I am inspired by family, friends, my husband, and most of the small town (Emelle) I grew up in. I am very happily married to LTC Wayne D. Little (retired) someone I grew up with. Hold on to your seat, you are about to go on a serious Roller Coaster ride!
