Then Arlo started firing to the rhythm of each shot he made; spoken words in unison towards that direction of his opponent’s last known shot.
“You-can-not-have-my-land, mister.” The mister landed on an already spent bullet.

About the Book
This is about a man who tries to protect what is his after he comes home from the Civil War. He finds that he is surprised by the way the war still seems to follow him even to his beloved Ivan-Lee mansion. Leaving his home to his sister, the fighting with afterwar factions is like hanging a millstone around his neck. Finally, he discovers that God is his only answer and his only ally.

The subconscious mind reacts, but the conscience tries to strip the chaos away. Relationships with the opposite sex are hit and miss, but one woman lives a Christ driven life.
