There are earthly morning glories, and there are Heavenly morning glories. The earthly varieties hint of God's divine nature. The heart-shaped leaves portray God's love. The spreading vine speaks of forgiving grace in Christ Jesus. The trumpet-shaped flowers give muted sound of Christ's return to the earth at the sound of the last trumpet. The unraveling array of morning flowers welcome a new day__ and portend a new Heaven and a new earth.
Like the earthly species, the Heavenly morning glory meditations accent each morning with uplifting inspiration from the Bible. For example, one of the several morning glory meditations cites God's proclamation, "the morning cometh" (Isaiah 21:2,KJV). It is the divine reply of hope to a pessimistic inquiry, "what of the night?" God's complete answer is "the morning cometh, and also the night."
Another favorite Heavenly Morning Glory meditation is based on "Joy cometh in the morning."(Psalms 30:5)
The Heavenly Morning Glory meditations include additional meditations which inspire the Christian spirit. Most notably, the detailed meditation "The Unlived Life" utilizes numerous Scripture (KJV) to describe (1) life on earth during the Millennium, following the Tribulation, and (2) the distinct physical brightness of glorified bodies, commingling with those who pass through the Tribulation.
The meditation, "To be with Christ is far better" (Philippians 1:23), brings the reader closer to the shadow of the Apostle Paul, who compares life on earth to that with Christ.

About the Book
The Bible states five special blessings for each morning.
•God brings joy in the mornings (Psalm 30:5).
•God loves anew every morning (Lamentations 3:22–23).
•God visits every morning (Job 7:18).
•God enables us for service every morning (Isaiah 50:4).
•God promises an eternal morning (Isaiah 21:12).
We call these blessings heavenly morning glories.
They are like the morning glory flowers (Ipomoea nil) whose heart-shaped leaves remind of God’s love, whose trumpet-shaped flowers give muted sound of Christ’s return, whose covering vines hint of the reach of Christ’s forgiving power, and whose unraveling flowers promise newness and color to God’s creation.

These spiritually enriching meditations were born from thirty-five years of the author’s pastoral ministry to several churches.
About the Author
The author pastored several churches during a thirty-five-year period, before his retirement in 2016. He published They Came from Germany, Aboard the Thistle __ a historical account of German migration to America. His formal education included the University of Tennessee, Knoxville and Graham Bible College. He taught for two years at Northeast State Community College in East Tennessee. The author and his wife, Darlene, of fifty-four years have three sons and five grandchildren.
