The windows welcome light.
Feeding the greens.
Allowing color to blossom.
Sparkling light illuminates the paper on the desk that sits patiently in the corner.
Awaiting the daily conversation.
The ink is gold from the finest of earths.
Ready to soak upon the finest sheets.
The french doors are open.
Allowing all inspiration the ability to be seen or heard.
The path is warmed by the glowing light.
Shadowed by the flowers that stand strong.
Every variety.
All with a meaning and healing purpose.
Planted in a maze with the Creator and keeper only knowing the path.
At the center a great tree sits with it’s branches full,
And life flowing within.
Luminescent veins showing a life’s journey.
When touched emotions are overwhelmed.
The body is uplifted,
And the most beautiful things are all present at once.
There sits a bench with water streaming nearby.
This is where we meet.
We talk.
We gather.
My forever home.
My place in heaven.

About the Author
I have always felt a special connection between myself and words. In english class when we would submit writings to be published in a school book, or for a local display; the teachers would always prepare us for the rejection letter. I almost felt out of place when I didn’t receive one, like all of the other kids. I hadn’t thought of my writing as a talent or a career, but as a way to control my ideas, emotions, and thoughts. It gave me a key to create something new with endless possibilities.
After multiple career changes, I had finally come to the conclusion that I should be doing something that I love. Something that comes naturally to me and is not forced. For me, that is writing. My writing shows many people (including myself) a piece of me I tend to keep hidden. It is raw, it is pure, it is my world.
I live in a small Northern Michigan town that is surrounded by the most beautiful ever changing colors. Rivers, lakes, dunes, forests, gardens, and beaches. They have all impacted me and my love of life. I would say my favorite feature is the sky. With its watercolor, neon, and pastel changing capabilities. Or when you can sit in the middle of a lake with only the stars as light, serenaded by waves crashing upon rocks or sand. I am happily married to a wonderful man, and am thankful to be surrounded by family and friends. I praise God everyday for creating such a life to be discovered. I can’t wait to see what is yet to come.
