We were created good
What does it mean to be a GOOD creation?
In the beginning God gave all authority to man, we had the ability and opportunity to have control over all things that lived on the earth. We were truly co laborers with God and were heirs to the kingdom. In chapter 3 of Genesis we experience the fall of man which lead to the forfeiting of the authority that God gave us to satan. This fall lead to three big issues.
We entered into a broken relationship with God when we were created to have relationship with Him.
We forfeited our authority when we were given all authority.
Sin and death entered our reality.
When this occurred, the enemy entered into the body of Christ with the purpose of blinding it’s followers to the truth of the Gospel which robs people of the authority that we receive at conversion, and continually separates us from God.
We adopt the image of the world and forfeit the image of God. The image of the world is:
Idolatry: We place worldly figures on a pedestal and minimize our need to connect with God.
Greed: We strive to obtain things that take place of the gifts that God has for us. We desire more money, more friends, more material possession. This ultimately becomes our primary focus and what we worship.
Alternative identity: we desire to be like everyone else when God made us to stand apart from everyone else
Psalm 139:14New International Version (NIV)
14 I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
your works are wonderful,
I know that full well.
This Psalm stands in direct opposition with the image that the world paints of who we are. The interpretation of this Psalm from its original language tells us that we were created in a way that is beyond explanation or intellectual reason.
So if the world can’t explain us, why do we allow it the authority to define us?

About the Author
Charles Caviola serves as the founding Pastor of Revive Church in Southern Connecticut and has a Masters in Divinity from Alliance Theological Seminary in Nyack New York.
Charles has been operating in what he identifies as restoration ministry which reconnects people to their true identity as outlined in scripture, and brings them to a revelation of their calling and destiny in Christ. A passion for the prophetic ministry and spirit lead evangelism drive Charles in his daily pursuit to reach lost and hurting souls with the love of Jesus.
Charles currently lives in Stamford CT with his wife Carla and their three daughters Ciena, Valentina, and Lorena. Charles felt his calling to the Pastorate as a young child of five years old and although life has taken him on a journey that at one time lead him away from the faith, the Lord redirected him back to his plans and purposes for his life. That is why he has a heart that burns for the lost and hurting.
