The Tour de France bicycle race requires team effort and essential cycling skills for the cyclists to have peak performance over the course of twenty-three days. To be in tip-top shape, the cyclist needs constant practice for endurance. When the cyclist is motivated, has the proper equipment, nutrition, and training, he is highly likely to have the strength to win the race by pushing both his mental and physical boundaries for victory at the Champs-Elysees, Paris. Likewise, in our stewardship we are strengthened by Christ to do all things. Through our essential tools of prayer, study, and faith, God strengths and gives us the physical and emotional support to do unimaginable feats. We can become educators, car mechanics, doctors, electricians, technology specialists, financial consultants, nutritionists, social workers or engage in any career that we wish when Christ is a priority in our lives. God strengthens us to do all things. When we feel weak and uninspired, God strengthens. We can endure life’s problems and complexities through the strength of Christ. Without Christ, our fortunes become misfortunes and rewards are subject to defeats. With Christ, suffering becomes favor, misery becomes happiness, and adversity becomes prosperity. When we trust Him, we are able to avoid burnout and weakness. When we are sick, we are able to recover from maladies and pain. When we have loss our loved ones, we are strengthened knowing that they rest in Christ. When we commit ourselves to service, we can serve with confidence knowing that God elevates believers through faith regardless of circumstances in life.

About the Author
Born in Mobile, Alabama, Patricia Ethridge Harrell and Doris Ethridge Outland are sisters. Both are graduates of Tuskegee Institute in Alabama and were educators for more than forty years. Patricia retired as a school principal in Tampa, Florida, and Doris retired as an elementary school teacher in Tuskegee, Alabama. Doris, a Bible scholar, enjoys reading the Word of God; volunteering in her church; participating in health, exercise, and nutritional seminars; and missionary service. Patricia enjoys creative writing, reading, traveling, exploring museums and National Parks, and playing Duplicate Bridge. Sparrow: Knowing God’s Love During Every Moment is Patricia’s second book. Her first book is entitled Near and Beyond Poetry. Both sisters are dedicated to supporting others with kindness, responsibility, and love.
