As we all go through life we enter into various seasons of our personal growth. As we embark upon each season we are sometimes not aware that we have literally entered into a new dimension of our lives. Thus leaving one space of time in our journey and etherially landing into another. I am reminded of the popular television show Star Trek where captain Kirk or whomever would step into a capsule and appear to become molecular while dissolving and arriving into a new place. When they would arrive they would look unlike those they began new interactions with. Although they were similar as beings with arms, legs, and various body parts they still looked, acted, and thought quite differently. They were literally leaving one place in time with a set group of people, to arrive at a completely different place, to accomplish a new but necessary goal. At the end of each journey into a new atmosphere, with new people, and with new and different tasks and responsibilities, there was always an ultimate goal as they went from dimension to dimension. The people didn’t often change in the core cast of Star Trek as so in our lives as well, but where they went and who they interacted with on a daily basis did change. Therefore, they had to evolve and pursue the change they wanted to accomplish in the next world. Figuratively, we as people move from ‘world to world’ into new dispensations on a regular basis as we interact with others and experience the normal viscisitudes of life. Those interactions such as births, deaths, graduations, weddings, sickness, promotions, divorce, loss, gain, and even revelation ultimately lead us to change. All of these different experiences make up the seasons and transformations from one time and place in life…to another. Sometimes our lives seem like an arbitrary piece of wood that drifts along a river with no real destination no matter how hard we’ve tried. But this seemingly lifeless piece of wood is organic and uses the current to float! But we as people are created with cognitive ability, and although similar to this organic material, floating and bumping along in life, soaked with the moisture of the journey have a mind and a will that can adjust in the turbulence and follow the direction of life’s currents as we aspire to go on. We do so by feeling the movement of life’s winds, rain, cold, storms, as well as sunshine. We arrive into a new ‘dispensation’ as the same person we were but with new experience, knowledge, and abilities. We deal and interact with new people having obtained this new self and having become enabled by the hand of our creator, because we yield through the desires He has placed in us to become. Aspiring allows us to understand and embrace that life is a series of changes and new dimensions that are sometimes involuntary, and that we must make the adjustments needed to move forward. But through faith and acknowledgement of fear we learn to embrace change, release the fear, and accept truth with a welcome and knowingness that there will be an arrival in the place we are destined to go if we participate in the journey with a positive and hopeful mindset. This will require seeking what is right, and good through God. Therefore we must keep walking, and seeking in the direction of our desires and one day you will look up and find yourself exactly in the place you have always dreamed of being~Joel Osteen
