About the Book
This is a story of a journey of faith when my daughter, Gabrielle, informed us that she had stage 3 Lymphoma. It started an intensive study in the Word of God to understand everything God said about sickness and healing. The next step was to believe every word and see God honor his Word. It is my prayer that it will encourage others to stand on the unchanging Word of God for themselves.
About the Author
Barbara Grace Mariano Vigue was born to Peter Mariano and Mary Tristani Mariano in Bridgeport, CT. All four of her grandparents were Italian immigrants and brought with them to America a rich heritage of traditions and love of family. Both large families were neighbors and friends and within the first years of their immigration to Pennsylvania, they were all introduced to Jesus Christ. They enthusiastically embraced their new country and faith in God. Grandfather Tristani became a minister and started an Italian Christian church in Bridgeport, CT.
Barbara had an idyllic childhood, surrounded by loving, wise parents, her brother and sister, dozens of cousins, aunts, and uncles, as well as her church family. She does not remember a time in her life when she did not love the Lord, but she had so much learning of the word ahead of her. She married her husband Bill, a minister, in 1983 and they have three children who are all serving the Lord. Gabrielle lives and works in Charlotte, NC with the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association. Mary and her husband Chris live in New Milford, CT where they are associate pastors. Mary teaches middle school in a Christian school. They have three children, Emery, Will, and Ben. Michael lives and works in Lakeland, Florida as assistant athletic director at Southeastern University.
Barbara started her career as a registered nurse in Connecticut, but soon focused on starting a church and a Christian school with her husband, where she taught high school and provided counseling as a Licensed Professional Counselor. Keeping her hand in nursing, she continued in psychiatric home care, both in Connecticut and later Florida. Upon retiring from nursing and moving to Zebulon, NC, she continues with her husband in their ministry, Meat of The Word Ministries. Bill has a weekly television program and they are available for speaking engagements. Since childhood, writing has been her favorite pastime and the way she processes her thoughts and leadings from the Lord.
Just like her parents and grandparents before her, love of God and love of family are foremost in her life. Her goal is to faithfully serve our Lord and see his glory revealed on earth as it is in heaven.
Gabrielle Vigue grew up in Brookfield, Connecticut. After college, she had an opportunity to work as Executive Assistant with the New England Patriots outside Boston and then at the Advisory Board Company in Washington DC. Believing God was leading her to use her abilities for the kingdom of God, she now works at the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association. She joyfully serves as Executive Administrative Assistant to the Vice-President of Crusade Ministries in Charlotte, NC. She is grateful for many for many opportunities God has given her to share her journey from cancer to healing. She prays more people would come to know God’s great love and healing touch.
