Revelation chapter 4=THE THINGS WHICH SHALL BE HEREAFTER- in heaven before the start of tribulation –Week 3
refresher: let’s REMEMBER JOHN’S OUTLINE OF REV. 1:19. He tells us how the order of revelation will be written: THE THINGS which he has seen, THE THINGS which are or the current events and THE THINGS or events which have yet to occur.
CHAPTER 4- introduction:
John writes with much symbolism in chapter 4 but the reality is greater than the symbolic. Chapter 4 leads us to the throne of god. as we consider heaven, always pay attention to color. we will learn about the one who will judge mankind. Remember the “churches” of revelation 2-3? The word “church” is not mentioned again in the book of revelation. There is a tabernacle in Ezekiel chapters 25-32 and 35-40. Read this at your leisure. It is a symbolic picture of HEAVEN.

Atheism thinks there is no throne. Humanism thinks man is on the throne. MANMADE RELIGIONS SAY ALL OTHER SORTS OF GODS ARE ON THE THRONE. Believer’s in Christ HAVE FAITH TO SAY is 0n the throne in heaven.
4. (vs 4) The next thing john notices is how many lesser seats, surrounding the throne of god. In 1 Chronicle 24:4, how many faithful priests of god are numbered? what might White robes symbolize what in revelation 6:11, 7:9? the Crowns of these elders represent what? Read Romans 8:17 and 2 Tim. 2:12.
5. (vs 5) Lightning and thundering and voices around the throne are Similar to what other important event. Read exodus 19:16-20, 20:18-19.
