Life is a journey of ups and downs
Mountains and valleys, smiles and frowns
It’s great to set goals and make plans in detail
But in the end, God’s purpose will always prevail
So don’t get so focused on the destination
That you forget to enjoy your current situation
Learn to embrace and appreciate each day
Even when things are not going your way
You’ll never be happy when you finally arrive
If you can’t be content during the drive
When the roads get bumpy, rough and steep
Just pray that God would be your Jeep
To drive you to the mountain peak
And be your strength when you are weak
Then He will lead you to the crest
Where you will enter His sweet rest
And realize all you had to endure
Made your faith strong and secure
Life is a journey, of pain and of pleasure
Tomorrow is not promised, each day is a treasure
So enjoy every sunset and sunrise
And know that “the journey” IS the prize!

About the Author
Ashley Collins was born and raised in Southern California. She earned her degree in Communication Studies with an emphasis in Advertising and Public Relations from California Lutheran University. She currently resides in North Carolina with her husband, Marty, and their 3 young children: Luke, Kylie and Ellie. She is a fully devoted follower of Jesus, worship leader, entrepreneur, graphic designer & writer. This is Ashley’s first book and she already has plans for her next one. Kimberly Goodson was born in Atlanta, Georgia, and grew up in Greenville, South Carolina, where she earned Bachelor's Degrees in Religion and Communication Studies. She now lives in Mooresville, North Carolina, with her husband, two small children, and their perpetual puppy, Bodie. When she isn't doodling, Kimberly enjoys hiking, baking, exploring, integrative health coaching, and simply spending time with her family and friends. She occasionally sells her artwork in local shops and online as stationary and is excited to embark on this illustrating journey with Ashley.
