After recovery and healing from a life-threatening disease, a chronic health condition, a financial disaster, emotional trauma, a broken relationship, an addiction, or incarceration; there will be more tests that will require you to have faith in God in order to maintain your health and well-being. I think the best way for me to explain the term “After Test” is to offer you this illustration: If a boat sinks to the bottom of the lake, it can be recovered, towed to land and repaired.
The boat is able to rest on the top of the lake and move across the water. The boat can be maintained and move across the top of the water by rowing (human will power, and effort) or by power from the wind (i.e.; divine empowerment through the Holy Spirit). Maintaining your victory after recovery will require you to have a row-boat attitude and a sailboat attitude; it will take human will power and effort, medical intervention, and divine empowerment to maintain your healing and keep you moving across your personal lake. But please remember that your greatest asset is divine empowerment!
My healing was an act of God’s love, power, grace and mercy; “It was free”- But the maintenance cost me something. I plan to be in maintenance mode and victory mode until the day Jesus Christ returns.
I have been where you are and I am persuaded that he who has begun a good work in you, shall perform it until the day of Jesus Christ. God knows your name, your present condition, and your destiny. Just one second of trust in God will change your life forever.
I am a living example of what God is able to do when you trust him. Now unto him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work in us (Ephesians 3:20 NIV).
It is my hope that this book lands in your hands and in your heart as an answered prayer from God. God works in Miraculous, Majestic, Mighty, and Mysterious ways – His wonders to perform.
God is a healer, I pray that you learn to cooperate with God and trust his way as he teaches you and empowers you to maintain your healing after recovery and enjoy your life to the fullest. I believe this book has something to offer to the Saved (the believers in Christ), the Seekers (those who wonder about the claims of Christ), and the Skeptics (those who doubt and question the reality and/or Deity of Christ).

The book portrays the challenges and obstacles that may confront a person seeking to maintain his or her health and well-being after recovering from a life-threatening disease, a chronic health condition, a financial disaster, emotional trauma, a broken relationship, an addiction, or incarceration. “After Recovery”, there will be more tests that will require a person to have faith in God, will power, discipline, and access to information and support systems in order to maintain his or her health and well-being. This book offers advice, strategies, spiritual guidance, medical information, and personal experiences from the author’s own journey from survival, recovery, and life after discharge from the hospital. This book is designed to encourage, enlighten, inform, motivate, and empower people who desire to live and thrive after a life-threatening or traumatic event has invaded his or her life. “After a Champion wins the fight, he or she must recover and train to fight and win again.”
About the Author
The beautiful lady in this photo is my wonderful wife Eva of 42 years. Eva gives me a check-up from the neck-up, she is the tiger in my tank, she puts the pep in my step and the glide in my stride. Eva is my queen, my rib, my joy, my sine qua non (absolutely necessary), Eva is my Raison d’etre (my reason for living), Eva is my Pied-a-tere (my hiding place). Eva is my Life Coach, my sermon and preaching evaluator. My wife is all this and a bag of chips, but she finds time to help others.
Eva loves helping to empower people who are at wits end and in need of a tender and compassionate, yet firm advocate, counselor, and life coach. She has helped many family members, friends, co-workers, students, strangers, and opponents to seek refuge and healing in the loving arms of God’s grace and faithfulness. My wife is also the amazing multitasking Deaconess, Trustee, WOW Women’s Ministry Leader, Kingdom Kids Sunday School teacher and 1st Lady of the City of Hope Missionary Baptist Church. Additionally, Eva is a magnificent mother, caring daughter, loving sister, awesome aunt, strong friend, work-place counselor and mediator, President of the Morgan State University Toastmaster’s Club, and Catering - Hospitality Guru. Eva’s spiritual gifts include -- faith, administration, helps, encouragement, mercy, and evangelism.
