INTRODUCTION
Each chapter in this book addresses practical issues that we experience in our daily walk with understanding the purpose of worship. There are many processes and spiritual disciplines we all have to encounter to understand fully what this term entails. In these pages, you will go on a journey of understanding the word worship, what it means, and what the expectations are for all believers in Christ. Your path through chapter 1 will initiate the conversation of what the word worship is.
Another crucial element to consider if you are a worship leader, is team building. Your team and everyone on that team matters. Understand their equal importance and validate their contributions to the quality output of the team. You will be given team building exercises under section 12 that you may use with permission from your organization at which you serve.
There is no specific order to the book, matter of fact, if a topic interests your need at the moment of perusing the chapters headings, you can go right to that section and begin your journey.
As you read through the chapters, you will also discover strategies that are useful in understanding why or how we worship. We are going to contemplate on an in-depth dissection of why the choices of songs are important to the experiences that you will have in worship. We will talk about how our emotions may get in the way of experiencing a full worship encounter.
We will divert a little and talk about internal inclinations about placing demands on God such as our needs before His needs or expectations for our lives. Overall, we will walk through the profound hope that we will experience God’s glory in our worship to Him.
In addition to all this, my personal journey to worship is shared through my understanding of expressed rhythms of music with spiritual content and dealing with peer to peer interactions.
The preparation it takes to fully develop oneself if you choose this path or if God chooses you for this work takes up a devout amount of time.
Worship cannot be taken lightly and it is not a funfair. It is a decision that is as important as accepting God as a personal Lord and Savior and living up to the standards and expectations He wants from us with that choice.

About the Book
This book takes you on a journey to understand worship and what it means for believers in Christ. Like no other content read on this subject, the book takes you to the core of what it will take to be an effective worshiper. Embedded are practical tools on how to conquer expectations for worshipers based on biblical principles as well as real-life experiences. The information provided will support your understanding of worship. Included are self-study strategies to strengthen the quality output of your calling as a worshiper and a praise leader. What you will need to overcome and fully immerse yourself into the experience of worship that God has created will be awakened in your consciousness as you use the tools provided. If your calling is to spread God’s words and messages of hope in songs, the least you can do is to equip yourself. As you do so, He will give you powers beyond your human capacities to conquer areas in your life that will prevent full and authentic worship to Him.
About the Author
The Author offers services to write policies and procedures that worship teams can use as guides to govern their teams based on observations upon invitation to your ministry. She will provide workshops with opportunities to develop your strategies for worship using valuable content in the book. In addition to writing, the Author holds a BFA from Minneapolis College of Art and Design, Minneapolis, Minnesota, obtained in 2005. She was a 2018-2019 Urban Educator Leadership Fellow recipient from the Center Excellence in Urban Teaching, Graduate School of Education, Hamline University, Minnesota. She has an Association Montessori International Primary Diploma from the Montessori Center of Minnesota, St. Paul, Minnesota, obtained in 2017 with a scholarship from Women United, which she uses to support children 3-6 in her current role as an educator.
