About the Book
Fading Memories is a non-fiction book about children and how ancestors, cultures,. geography, history, languages, events, parents, relatives, memoirs, health, and moral standards are imposed on the life of a child. Psalms: 127:5 “Children are a heritage from the Lord”. Children are the “stars in this book” and as adults we need to protect ,educate, understand their culture and needs, and to respect them is to love them. .Fading Memories explains disappointing health problems from cholera on an immigration voyage to a young boy losing an arm and other health problems. . Working with children in six of the seven continents have been a true blessing with the knowledge of educators, medical staff, parents, student helpers and Operation Smile. (Operation Smile operates on children with cleft lips/ palates in developing countries.) Children are the supporting factors of love, honesty, happiness, gratitude, and curiosity. Adults must be honest positive role models because our children as future leaders can build BRIDGES between the continents to bring PEACE to our world.
About the Author
Ms. Joyce has been working (counselor & teacher, probation officer, Girl Scout Advisor, Church counselor) and volunteering with children over 65 years. She has been blessed to have worked with children in six of the seven continents with Dept. of Defense and Operation Smile including teacher-counselor in Texas and Alaska.
Adopting Lil Ranch Critters (sweet donkey, llamas, goats, geese, ducks, sheep, horses, dogs, and cats) and living on a West Texas Ranch has brought happiness for this independent Granny. Ms. Joyce’s family are loved as much as the critters. Maybe more!
