Self-esteem is all about how much we feel loved, valued, accepted and thought well of by others, or by God. Our self-esteem is important because how we feel about ourselves influences how we live our lives. There are many clues from the Bible that help us to know what we should feel about ourselves according to how God feels about us. “For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful; I know that full well. My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place. When I was woven together in the depths of the earth, your eyes saw my unformed body. All the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be.” (Psalm 139:13-16). He created us just the way He wanted us. Each of us is an original.

About the Book
Does it seem too difficult to live up to the world’s standard of being great? Self-esteem cannot be based on the world’s standard, but on what God thinks of us. He helps us by telling us who we are through Him. This is how we develop an accurate assessment of ourselves.

Kathy Sebo, a licensed clinical social worker, has helped many families, children, and adults over her thirty-year career. She has presented a variety of workshops around the Midwest. She currently works in a private practice and has based her book on years of observing wrong thinking. She hopes that through God’s scriptures, she can help others change their thoughts of their worth.
