Verse 9 “Then he said to me, “Write: ‘Blessed are those who are called to the marriage supper of the Lamb!’ And he said to me, “These are the true sayings of God.” Write: Here we have the same voice as in verses 5-6. It is probably the voice of an unnamed angel who tells the apostle John to write something down. He is told to write about the supper and reception of the Lamb. Just like any other marriage, after the wedding vows are complete, the wedding party and guests head to the hall where a grand meal is set up. It is a blessed and happy time. It includes food and fun for all in attendance. It is a celebration like nonother. I can see it right now. There is a table a million of miles long, and at the head of the table, is the groom, the Lamb of God. Only those who are “called” to the wedding feast can sit down on their chairs, and all of them have name tags pinned to their fine lining so that everyone can get acquainted. All futurists agree that the wedding takes place in heaven. Some believe that the supper of the Lamb takes place on earth at the beginning of the millennial (1000 years) reign of Christ on earth. This will probably be the case. True: Everything that John saw and was told to write down is the truth because, the Living God is truth.
