Embracing The Shift

You as a Man or Woman of God may not want to admit that there are times when ministry, being a Pastor or leader in church has taken a toll on your physical bodies. Then when you hit the shift it starts playing tricks on your mind. Now we are sitting trying to figure out what happened because the devil has hit us with spiritual Flu like symptoms.

According to 2 Corinthians 5:17 (KJV) Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature. Old things are passed away. Behold, all things are become new. That tells me that I have an opportunity to be new every day. Every day when I go before the Lord in his presence, he gives me another chance to get it right. However, I can’t remain the same person I was the day before. We should want to change and that starts with the mind. Lamentations 38:22-23(ESV) says the steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; They’re new every morning; great is your faithfulness. So, God is willing to give us a new start if we are willing to change. The only way you can change is by changing your mind. Our minds must be renewed every day. Regardless of how we feel physically. There should be a greater maturity of the mind every day.

You have to be willing during the shifting season of your life, to do what 2 Corinthians 10:5 (KJV) tells us to do; casting down imaginations and every high thing that exalt itself against the knowledge of God. And bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ. You must smash warped thinking and throw out every ungodly image that the devil has put in your mind. If you don’t throw them out, you will be looking at things that are really a mirage to make things appear worse than what they really are.
