About the Book
This book presents life and Christian living in a little bit of an old-fashioned way. The short stories demonstrate some life experiences which can and sometimes are used for other purposes. The author has a dry sense of humor that most of the time may make the reader “wonder”, but occasionally pulls a “slight grin”.
About the Author
William (Bill)Sherry grew up on a rural Paulding County Ohio farm in the time immediately following World War II. Bill is the oldest of seven, with three brothers and three sisters. He learned how to help care for his siblings at an early age. Bill went to school at his hometown grade school Melrose and then graduated high school from The Auglaize-Brown Local (Oakwood) High School that was a couple of miles away from his home. Bill also graduated from The Defiance College with a BS degree in Natural Systems. Bill then came back a few years later and added Business Management classes to his education. Bill graduated from Winebrenner Seminary with a Master of Divinity degree in 2005.
Growing up on a farm, Bill has milked cows, slopped hogs, made butter, pressed cider, and many other farm related activities (including keeping the swamp drained). Bill is a millwright journeyman, has worked in many different industries, was a substitute teacher, an industrial maintenance teacher, a factory supervisor, a car salesman, a pastor, and is now retired and has been caretaker of fourteen acres of the partially drained Great Black Swamp for the last half century.
