20. I Am
Dear Jesus,
I love that You are the Revealer of the will of the Father. You give us a free will to choose, but You reveal and help so we can be who You’ve called us to be and to do what You’ve called us to do.
I’m grateful Your Spirit always point us to You. The very interest and hunger we have for You comes from You. You have given us everything we would need for a life lived with You.
Thank you for drawing me into prayer. Please hear my thoughts and prayers and be gracious to answer. I’m reminded of Job praying for his friends and being healed himself. I do seek well-being and I know it comes from You and Your presence.
May Your grace cover us and keep us close to You. Grant us the power to resist sin and to cleave to You. Thank You for the journey through this journal and all the journals. Draw me back into them that I may obey what You have spoken.
Blessed be Your Name,
L.
Dear L,
I AM continually revealing to your own heart to you. I AM also continuously revealing Myself to you. The comparison shows you where you need to go and where you need to improve. My Word is like a double-edged sword that cuts between the soul and the spirit. It is like a mirror that shows you your true self and brings you into repentance.
How can you become whole if you are broken, yet think you are whole? As a man thinks, so is he. When you see your need for a Savior, you welcome that Savior. When you think you are your own savior, you will be blinded to your real self. Deception and delusion are the tricks and strategies of the enemy.
That is why I’m calling you to a new level of prayer – that you would stay awake, be alert and not be deceived about yourself, Me, and others.
I have good plans for you, but you must continually bring yourself into the truth of the Word and the Spirit. Deception and delusion can be very subtle and many are those who fall for the tricks – often through pride and self-sufficiency. You are not your own savior.
Holy is the one who falls upon the Rock. I AM One Who restores such a one. I even restore a repentant one who has been ground into powder. I can do all things because I AM.
Bow before Me and revere Me as your one and only Savior. I will continue to reveal Myself to you and I will be your Mediator so you will find the perfect will of God for your life.
Peace and grace to you, Jesus
John 5:19 Amplified Bible, Classic Edition (AMPC)
19 So Jesus answered them by saying, I assure you, most solemnly I tell you, the Son is able to do nothing of Himself (of His own accord); but He is able to do only what He sees the Father doing, for whatever the Father does is what the Son does in the same way [in His turn].
John 5:30 Amplified Bible, Classic Edition (AMPC)
30 I am able to do nothing from Myself [independently, of My own accord—but only as I am taught by God and as I get His orders]. Even as I hear, I judge [I decide as I am bidden to decide. As the voice comes to Me, so I give a decision], and My judgment is right (just, righteous), because I do not seek or consult My own will [I have no desire to do what is pleasing to Myself, My own aim, My own purpose] but only the will and pleasure of the Father Who sent Me.
Matthew 21:44 Amplified Bible, Classic Edition (AMPC)
44 And whoever falls on this Stone will be broken to pieces, but he on whom It falls will be crushed to powder [and It will winnow him, scattering him like dust].
Mark 14:61-62 Amplified Bible, Classic Edition (AMPC)
61 But He kept still and did not answer at all. Again, the high priest asked Him, Are You the Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed One), the Son of the Blessed? 62 And Jesus said, I AM; and you will [all] see the Son of Man seated at the right hand of Power (the Almighty) and coming on the clouds of heaven.
1 Timothy 2:5 Amplified Bible, Classic Edition (AMPC)
5 For there [is only] one God, and [only] one Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus,
Hebrews 4:12 Amplified Bible, Classic Edition (AMPC)
12 For the Word that God speaks is alive and full of power [making it active, operative, energizing, and effective]; it is sharper than any two-edged sword, penetrating to the dividing line of the breath of life (soul) and [the immortal] spirit, and of joints and marrow [of the deepest parts of our nature], exposing and sifting and analyzing and judging the very thoughts and purposes of the heart.
In what ways will you allow Jesus to reveal Himself to you? In what ways will you let Jesus reveal yourself to you? What will you do to become more like Him?
