Ascended, eviscerated, as an incense to the sky. His wealth went to the ether, his soul not far behind.

This we find the first-time grace is etched in sacred script; simply giving man a chance to labor, love, and live. Requited with the smile of God when he took the gift and did.

All of my cares can be gone, with peace coming into their place. Given by a gracious God, when for my cares, I care to pray.

About the Book
This is a collection of scripture meditations over the years, with each poem being derived directly from a verse or passage. Sometimes it was the words that inspired the prose. Other times it was the meter in which the passage was written, or the vibrant context of the story being told. The end result is a diverse and creative assortments of poems dealing with the truths of scripture and our human interaction with those truths.
About the Author
Raised in West Virginia, William became a believer at the age of 10 through the ministry of Landmark Baptist Church. His faith journey continued from there to Chicagoland where he earned two theology degrees and worked in full-time ministry for over a decade. He wrote his first scripture poem at the age of 12 and continues that meditative practice to this day.
