Her thoughts returned to the present and the closer she got to home, the greater her anxiety became. Her face was flushing, her heart rate had increased, and tears of anger were filling her eyes. Linnea blurted out, “Father, why are You letting this happen? I don’t understand!” There was no comforting reply from God.

She arrived home and quickly headed for her bedroom to change. Linnea grabbed jeans and a shirt and headed for the bathroom. After she changed, she intended to brush her hair and apply some cologne. As Linnea glanced in the mirror, she entered the enemy’s trap. All she saw was the contrast between herself and Angie. She crumpled to the floor and heaved mighty sobs of self-pity and resentment.
