About the Book
You Are a Superhero, Too! is written in a parent’s voice, and affirms the unique role a neuro-typical child (the main character) plays in the family, when living alongside a sibling with special needs. The book acknowledges the tender dynamics within their world and encourages the child in a way that says, “Your parents see you, love you, are proud of you, and know this road you walk is not easy,” a message these children need and long to hear.
About the Author
Brittnie is the author of Desert Song: Claiming Joy While Walking the Wilderness, which was published in 2017, and currently serves several organizations as a freelance writer. Brittnie lives in Sugar Land, Texas with her husband, Brandon, and two daughters, Clara and Camille, and enjoys baking, lingering coffee dates, and soaking in moments with her family.
