The best test of Christianity is having a home that speak forth the character and nature of Christ. We may not be able to give our children everything we would like to, or everything they want, but we owe them four things: 1) Connect with them by listening to them. You'll never understand your child until you take time to listen to what they're saying, how they feel, and what they're not saying. 2) Pray for them daily 3) Show faith in them to help build their confidence; give them the faith and self-worth required to overcome the obstacles they'll face in life. 4) Be sincere with them. Be a role model to them. Share your testimonies and stories with them. We owe it a duty to protect these children and pray sincerely that they will not fall into a wrong marriage.
No fearful man can make a change, he that wants to make a change must be ready to break the chain. Gideon knew that if he had to make a change, he had to be bold, the bible said that which he could not do by the day, he did it by night. Joshua had to be bold to command the sun and the moon to stand still, David had to be bold to confront Goliath, Jesus had to be bold to face the cross. When the people are afraid, they remain under torment because Fear is a torment 1John 4:18. Fear is not from God 2Timothy 1:7. Fear is a stealer of good things and is a powerful tool that the devil uses to cage and limit destiny. Lot out of fear preferred the small city to the mountain top. The children of Israel were held down for many days because of the fear of Goliath.
David had no sword on him, with Goliath fallen, he knew he had to finish the war. He looked around and found the sword that Goliath had intended to use against him. I pray that God will turn the weapons of the enemies against them. May their sword be used against them in the name of Jesus Christ! So, he took Goliath’s sword and used it to cut off his head. Psalm 69:22 says, let their table become a snare before them: and that which should have been for their welfare, let it become a trap. He stood upon the giant and when the Philistine saw that their champion was dead, they all fled.
Shout it loud, “My Goliath shall perish in the name of Jesus Christ”
Listen carefully, when Elijah defeated the prophets of Baal and slew all the prophets, the people shouted Alleluia, but his problem was not over, in fact he had to run to the cave and begged God to take his life, because, Jezebel, the champion of the prophets was still alive. Until the champion behind your problem is eliminated, there will always be a regrouping. The Philistines fled when they saw that their giant was dead.
Know this for sure, that God will not answer a prayer that will damage or contradict His plan for your life. God loves Jesus and could have easily said yes, when he cried in Gethsemane that the cup be taken away from him, but He said NO. The truth is this, the miracle of Jesus survival on the cross would have undermined the greater miracle of his resurrection.
If your good deed is not immediately rewarded it is because there is a better and bigger reward coming. It took two full years for Joseph’s good deed to the butler to be rewarded – at the fullness of time. Same also for Mordechai, it took time for his good deed to the king to be rewarded. Do not be weary in well doing.
As far as Joseph’s brothers are concerned Joseph’s worth is 20 shekels of silver. What price tag do you place upon your life/salvation/family/spouse/children? What is the value of your marriage? Your career? Your home? Your children? What price tag do you put on your salvation? Does it worth some level of sacrifices or self-denial or what? Many have sold their spouses away because they want to please a third party. We must realize that our life is worth more than rubies, it cost God the life and blood of His son Jesus Christ. Don’t sell your salvation or soul to the devil. Work hard not to lose your salvation, rather work out your own salvation with fear and trembling Philippians 2:12.
Mathew 6: 25, says, Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment? What is the value of your life?
God positioned certain people at different junctions of our destiny journey to help fulfill a purpose. These group of people are called destiny helpers. Destiny helpers are physical extension of God’s hand to help us fulfill our destiny.
