In the dark we sometimes see things differently. Darkness plays tricks with our minds casting shadows of doubt and fear. In the dimness of the moon, a field mouse can become like a prowling mountain lion waiting to devour its prey. A squash vine growing on a trellis can become like a hunched over witch with a crooked nose, ready to snatch you for her pot of brew. Tree branches scratching at the window sill become goblins' arms trying to pluck you from your bed, but once light shines on the shadows, you see what things really are. You see the truth.

About the Author
Yvonne Harris has a degree in art therapy where she has seen healing through the creative process. She currently finds healing in playing her violin to glorify God in a Christian jail ministry. Ms.Harris lives in rural Utah with her Llama, pygmy goats, chickens, ducks and nine wild hares including the blind bunny.
