My Legendary Mom

I have seen my mother through many eyes. Hard working, a hustler, weak, fragile, motivated, intelligent and strong willed. If there is one thing my mother’s journey had proven to me, was that life will throw all types of things at you and the only way to get out on the other side is to have faith and keep pushing. “God won’t give you more than you can carry” is something I constantly hear growing up. I learned from watching my mom, if things do feel like “it is too much to carry”, it is probably because we are trying to do it alone. “I can’t do it on my own Lord, please help me … dear Lord give me strength”, a simple prayer my mother would say. My mother’s struggles have taught me to have faith and pray. I am still learning to have faith and not worry so much. After all I have seen my mother go through … even at her lowest she still has faith that there will be a brighter day.
