In this book, I have divided people into two categories; people walking with God, and people walking with the world, and of course, these two types of people are comprised of many types of people for we know the world is diverse, but can people really be divided into two categories like this?
According to what I’ve seen in the Bible, there are only two destinations in the afterlife, heaven or hell, so since there are only two destinations in the afterlife then there must really only be two types of people; people that have chosen to walk with God, and people that continue to walk with the world.
Throughout this book, you may run into some things that sound harsh for people walking with the world, but anyone walking with the world can change direction and begin walking with God.
For God has provided us salvation.
It is written of Jesus,
He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not. He came unto his own, and his own received him not. But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:
John 1:10-12
Jesus Christ came into the world to save the world, if people will believe God. But sadly, not all people will believe God.
Jesus Christ is the image of God, who created the heaven, the earth, the seas and everything therein, and it is through Him that God is speaking to people in these last days.
God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets, Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds; Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high; Hebrews 1:1-3
John addressed people as, fathers, young men, brethren, beloved, and little children. He claimed in his letter that it was already the last time, or near the end, so if it was near the end back then, we are nearer the end now. If there were already many antichrists back then, surely there are many antichrists now. Antichrists deny that Jesus is the Christ.
Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time. They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would no doubt have continued with us: but they went out, that they might be made manifest that they were not all of us.
But ye have an unction from the Holy One, and ye know all things. I have not written unto you because ye know not the truth, but because ye know it, and that no lie is of the truth.
Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son. Whosoever denieth the Son, the same hath not the Father: he that acknowledgeth the Son hath the Father also. Let that therefore abide in you, which ye have heard from the beginning. If that which ye have heard from the beginning shall remain in you, ye also shall continue in the Son, and in the Father. 1 John 2:18-24
Jude, the half brother of Jesus, also wrote a letter to believers about some ungodly men that had crept in among them. These men were attempting to turn the grace of God into a license to sin, and they were denying the only Lord God, the Lord Jesus. He told these believers to earnestly defend for the faith.
People walking with God in these last days use God’s word to defend their faith in Christ to the world.
Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints. For there are certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ. Jude 4
Jude also wrote that there would be mockers in the last days that would be divisive, walking after their own ungodly lusts; sensual, having not the Spirit. Jude encouraged believers to build themselves up on their most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost.
But, beloved, remember ye the words which were spoken before of the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ; How that they told you there should be mockers in the last time, who should walk after their own ungodly lusts. These be they who separate themselves, sensual, having not the Spirit. But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost, Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life. Jude 18-21
