Spiritual Warfare
I began speaking in tongues and declaring victory over Kulture’s life. I began to bind and loosen things in Jesus’s name. Then the spirit of the Lord told me to call Viv. Viviane is the sister-in-law to my cousin Janet.
I tried to yell urgently to Enya, but something held me back. Something didn’t want me to call her. I knew then that the fight was on. It took everything out of me to fight whatever was trying to hold me back.
I yelled to Enya, “Call Janet!”
Enya came from the back of the church, grabbed my phone, and did as I told her. Once Janet answered, Enya, who was clueless, said, “Viv.”
It was like Janet was ready—she didn’t ask any questions, just said OK. Still pacing the altar, I yelled out, “Call Yvonne.” My aunty Yvonne, who is a pastor, was called, and once she answered she could hear the battle over the phone. She began speaking in her heavenly language.
But what I didn’t know was Janet called Viviane, Yvonne, Deborah, and Shaunette. With the phone on speaker, you could hear everyone wage in the spirit. The help had arrived, as the warriors were literally in the room with me. I was encouraged to call the devil by his name. I said, “Satan, you can’t have her! She will live and not die to declare to the works of the Lord.”
Then the Holy Spirit said, “Grab the bottle of oil while you praise God under the anointing grip in your hand.”
I walked over to the pulpit and clenched the bottle. I went from conducting spiritual warfare to praising and pleading with God. I told him, “Her life for my life, God. Her life for mine.”
Some people might think, Wait—you’re an ordained Evangelist. Aren’t you living for God already?
Yes, I am ordained, but there have been many times I became complacent and lazy when it came to the things of God. I complained but still did what was asked, but still I complained about doing. I dragged my feet in the ministry and was OK just doing the bare minimum.
