Finding Healing for Your Heart through the Ministry of His Heart

Every year, a live Art show called Pageant of the Masters is shown in California. I attended it as a Believer and as I sat watching it, God spoke to my heart. I didn’t know why He led me to see this show, until the end of it.
On stage, a painting came to life. The painting demonstrated the life of a female Artist. This female Artist’s entire life consisted of vanity. She had everything, including a man, fame, and money. But at the end of her life, she remained heartbroken. Her story ended in sadness, sorrow, and death. It was devastating.
Far into the back row of the bleachers, I sat watching this painting in action, listening to her story.
“I don’t want my life to end that way,” I told God in my heart. I wanted to follow Him.
Matthew 16:24-26 says, Then Jesus told his disciples, “If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow me. For whoever would save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake will find it. For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world and forfeits his soul? Or what shall a man give in return for his soul?”
At the very end of the show, the infamous painting called “The Last Supper” came to life. This time, I watched Jesus lay down His life for His friends. I saw the Bread of Life before me. He was going to the cross. He was at the table, offering Himself.
“No, God. I don’t want to be like that woman who ended her life without you. I don’t want to live life without you. I want you. I need You. You’re the Master Artist!”
And I knew in that moment, I needed to die with Christ. I was thirsty for the Living Water and hungry for the Bread of Life. I was called to drink His blood. I wanted Him to become my all and all. I needed to deny myself, take up my cross and follow Him.
Following the Master Artist has not been easy, but He is my everything—Eternal Life; my all and all.
It is no longer I who live but it is Christ who lives in me and the life I live, I live by faith in the Son of God who loved me and gave Himself for me (Galatians 2:20).
