The Lord taught me that many of His people are still in captivity in Babylon, as prisoners of war. They belong to Him, they have faith, they love Him but they have not come out of Babylon. I cried, "Lord what can I do? If people don't want to come out why won't you let them stay there?" Then He expressed to me His tender mercy for those He loves. He said, "They have to come out, Babylon is about to fall. It is the habitation, or dwelling place of every unclean, foul and hateful spirit. It is a hostile environment for my people. Many of my people are trapped there. They must come out."
"Come out of her, my people, that ye be not parkers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues. For her sins have reached unto Heaven, and God hath remembered her iniquities (Revelation 18:4-5)." I asked the Lord why His people were still in Babylon in the first place and He told me that it was because they were deceived into going there. I asked Him how were they deceived? He said,
"Partly by choice and partly by ignorance."
The Lord began to teach me how His people fall into error and apostacy. He told me to study the Old Testament very carefully and follow the progression of the children of Israel. As I did this, He pointed out that the people who were called by His name kept falling into rebellion by what He called, "whoreing after other gods." I asked Him why they did it and He said, "It is because of the lusts that is in their hearts. Look around you, I have called you and separated you for my service, that you may build up my people and train them in the way of righteousness. I have taught you not to touch those things which are unclean and abominable in my sight. So far you have been willing and obedient to follow my instructions. In the Old Testament, you will find many of my people just like yourself, willing and obedient. But look again in the scripture as well as your present day. There are those who know my ways and know my voice, as well as the things that are detestable to me, yet in my name, they continue to fornicate.. They continue to play the harlot with the world, the flesh, and the devil. Many leaders, they know better, yet they lead my people astray. Many have hardened their hearts toward me. Many would rather believe in a lie than the truth. This is how it was in the days of the Old Testament prophets. My people lusted after the gods of the people around about them and neglected to worship me, their creator, their maker. This is an isult to me. I am a jealous God."
