DIY: It takes two minutes to make the bed—so make your bed every day and it will make your room look neater!
Organizing Tip:
Did you know stuffed closets are bad for your health? It is hard to breathe or make air circulate due to the clutter.
DIY: According to several neuroscience professors, each time you look around and feel anxious that the mess is getting out of control, your body releases cortisol, one of the classic stress hormones. Start now to declutter your closet.

Charity Tip:
Many clients ask what you do with old prescription eyeglasses.
DIY: Search “eyeglass recycling” to find centers that re-distribute donated eyeglasses to people in need. Or call your local Optometrist and ask if they take used eyeglasses. Find centers that re-distribute. See also: www.lionsclubs.org
Etiquette Tip:
Manners for parties; you should send your RSVP promptly.
DIY: Always respond on time to allow the host to prepare for your attendance. A dis-regarded or delayed RSVP appears as ungrateful and careless.
Laughter Tip:
What does laughter do to your physical body?
DIY: Laughing exercises the diaphragm. This muscle in the body is attached to other muscles—abdominal, facial, respiratory, back, and leg muscles—so laughing effects your whole body. SO LAUGH!
Spiritual Tip:
“For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life” (John 3:16 NIV).
DIY: This is a favorite scripture with a hope and promise for anyone. By inviting Jesus Christ into your heart, the Bible says you now have eternal life.
Organizing Tip:
Are you an impulsive buyer and like nice things even though you don’t need the item?
DIY: Next time you go shopping and pick up an item you want to buy, ask yourself these questions:
Do I need it or want it?
How many of these do I have?
When was the last time I used it?
Where will I put it?
Organizing Tip:
People get so much mail today and often don’t know how to sort it.
DIY: Bring in the stack from the mail box. Separate junk mail from important mail. Place magazines and coupons in two piles. Sort the important mail by each person in the home. It’s their responsibility to pick up their mail and handle it.
Time Management Tip:
Do you talk on the phone but need to get your chores done?
DIY: You can wipe down a bathroom, fold a load of laundry, dust, wash dishes, etc. Multi-tasking is a plus!
Tip:
Today is “Adopt-a-Shelter Dog Day.” Before purchasing a dog from a breeder, check your local Humane Society or shelter to see about adoption.
DIY: I rescued my Yorkie from a puppy mill where he was traumatized, depressed, and lonely. Since I’ve had him, he is happy, we both love each other, and he follows me eve-rywhere I go in the house! Rescue a best friend. They are a joy especially during the pandemic!
Organizing Tip:
Organize crafts by categories, such as knitting, beading, scrapbooking, painting, etc.
DIY: Buy the storage containers for particular crafts. It will be easy to find, work on, and put away for each project.
Time Management Tip:
Start wrapping those Christmas gifts you bought on “Black Friday” or soon after shop-ping.
DIY: Use gift bags with tissue. It saves wrapping time. Of course, you need to wrap some gifts, especially for children. Have your older children or friends help you wrap. You know you will need to pay them, but it will be worth it!
