Feeding areas are places deer go to eat. These vary as some deer are grazers and some stop to feed in a specific area on a specific food source. Crops such as soybeans and corn provide a very substantial nutrient source to deer. Other crops such as wheat, alfalfa, or sorghum are still attractive but corn and soybeans offer cover as well. To eat and be hidden at the same time is very important to a deer. Acorns are a major food source for deer in the fall because they are high in protein and the deer need this protein to add fat to their bodies for winter and energy for the upcoming mating season. To find a good oak grove would help increase your harvest percentage greatly. Deer tend to prefer white oak over other oaks but will eat almost any acorn once it is on the ground. Other food choices would be sumac, rye grass, and woody plant like willow or red cedar. Being spiritually fed is good for rebuilding your walk. Just like the deer your soul gets hungry and what you feed it decides the direction it goes. Attending church, bible studies, or just fellowship with other Christians are actually foods for the soul.
