"FLY BYES"
AS I SIT HERE AT MY WINDOW
GRIEVING FOR MY LIFE THAT WAS,
FOUND IN ITS FRAME MY FADING RAINBOW
BRINGS HURT THE PAIN, THAT'S WHAT HURT DOES,
SO MANY PLANS TO LIVE LIFES' GUSTO
WITH WIND, A BREEZE, JUST FLEETS AWAY,
AMUSED OUR FATE SURROUNDS TO MOCK US
WE WAKE TOO LATE, IT'S TIME TO PAY,
OUR VISIONS' DREAM TO LIVE AND BE
THROWN TO AND FRO ON WAVES OF HOPE,
REACH OUT DO WE FOR SPRINGS ETERNAL
SIDESTEPPING WOES, LIFES' ROPE-A-DOPE,
A LIGHT I SEEK TO END THIS SORROW
SO FULL OF PAIN THIS ROAD I'VE KNOWN,
SOME TIME TO REST JUST LET ME BORROW
TO WEED MY HEART FROM ANGERS SOWN,
I'LL PLANT THESE SEEDS FOR FUTURE BLOOM
WHERE TRUE LIFE SPEAKS TO ME,
WITH PATIENT GRACE MY HEART WILL SOON
GROW ROWS OF LOVE FROM THEE

About the Book
The inspiration for my poems come from within, these poems are my personal thanks to the Lord for the many blessings he has bestowed on me. The giving of thanks is what I try to reflect in my words, along with a dose of reality.
About the Author
My name is John Rosario, Sr. I was born in the USA, but of a Puerto Rican heritage. I’m prone to champion the downtrodden, those who live in a world where they seemingly have very little. I am a very proud father of three children, John, Jeremy and Christina. I enjoy being a member of the Grace Bible Community Church in Newington, Connecticut. My pastor is Rodney Beaulieu. This man has a gift.
