But I’m afraid we need to discuss something you haven’t been looking forward to – what those in grief are

experiencing. This is something you will not truly understand without going through it, so please listen carefully.

This is important.

I have been in your shoes. A few months before Erin died, I overheard someone talking about a family that

had just lost a son in an automobile accident. I also overheard the last name and was horrified to think that I knew these people!

This was awful!

What was I going to do?

How would I respond?

But after a bit, it became apparent that it wasn’t the same family, just the same last name. A sense of relief came over me.
