Depending on what day of the week it was, Boobah J could be quite picky as to what he ate. He loved his cereal and would take a long time eating it. He would eat one "O" at a time. Of course, this would drive his family crazy, especially if it happened to be a weekday when everyone had a schedule to keep! Rummaging to the bottom of the bowl, Boobah J unknowingly (or maybe he just did not care because he knew Kiya would eat anything that fell on the floor) spilled many of his tasty little "O's" on the table which eventually ended up on the floor. Now Boobah J's two sisters were both older than him. The oldest sister, Leah, was always watching out for him. She was patient and did her best to help him stay focused. The youngest sister Maky, however, would tattle on Boobah J in a heartbeat! He just could not seem to get away from her! She was always watching him so she could tell Momma what he was up to or simply boss him around. Just when he thought he could enjoy his snack, a screechy voice boomed from above his head. There, glaring at him from the balcony that overlooked the dining room where he was seated, was Maky. "Momma! Boobah J is eating cereal and not looking for his shoooe!" Boobah J groaned as he tried gobbling down his cereal before Momma caught him eating. Unfortunately, amid his gobbling he accidentally tipped his bowl causing the rest of his cereal to spill all over the floor! Boobah J jumped up out of his chair and skedaddled into the kitchen. His goal was to get the dustpan and the broom and clean up the mess before anyone could see. Oh, poor Boobah J. Though he moved at lightening speed, he failed to realize that Mothers could move faster. As he returned to the dining room, there was Momma standing next to his chair with one hand on her hip. She nearly scared him sillier having arrived so fast as if by magic! Boobah J flashed her a quick grin as she quietly instructed him to get every "O" off the floor. He managed, without further squealing from Maky, to get all the "O's" off the floor just in time as Momma came back into the dining room to inspect. A funny thing though, Momma was amazed at how fast Boobah J had swept up all the cereal. She applauded him then asked, "Where is all the cereal?" as she eyed the empty dustpan. "I ate it!" he beamed, as if that were the most nature thing to do. Barely holding back a laugh, Momma prompted Boobah J again to find his shoe.

About the Book
The character “Boobah J” was created when our second grandson was born and we were introduced to his unwavering determination to do for himself. Ensembled in a most curious fashion, a hoodie would become a pair of pants with a large back pocket. His Mother’s never ending search for matching socks becomes an opportunity for him to style mitch matched ones. Oh my, there is never enough time for him to find two shoes that match. Often times borrowing a color matched, but not sized, shoe from his older brother. “Little people” are “lights” that bring special joy and laughter for brief moments in time - moments that we should never take for granted.
About the Author
Tse Z Coe began her adventures in art at the mighty age of 5. Her inspiration for writing and illustrating books for children came when her son was born, some 23 years later. “Little people,” she quips, “are always doing something that is hilarious throughout the day and if you are Blessed to have children at home or if you are around them and able to watch some of the things that they do, you will have plenty of resource to write a book!”
