About the Book
Demetria High teamed up with her late husband, Clarence, to counsel countless couples, singles and families. In this devotional, she explores how every relationship starts, blooms, grows, and changes. Each of these stages requires us to revisit, review, and readjust. One of the challenges to connecting with your partner, she observes, is the hustle and bustle of life gets in the way. Before you start dinner, before you wash a load of clothes, before you (fill in the blank), lay your head on his shoulder, kiss her on the forehead, or do whatever it takes to spark some intimacy. She also answers questions such as: • Why is it a bad idea to compare your relationship to others? • Why is it important to keep doing what gives your spouse butterflies? • What can you do to stop arguing so much with your partner? The author also emphasizes that contrary to what some people think, the longer you stay in a relationship, the harder you must work at it. That’s because as you get older, dreams and goals change, and you have to try harder to stay connected.
