The bottom of the old wooden stove was red hot. I bent down to pick up my baby doll and when I turned the bottom of my satin dress touched the bottom of the stove and caught on fire. Donnie screamed,"your dress on fire.” I turned and picked up the bottom of my dress. Zavon and Donnie tried to help me put the flames out but it kept getting bigger. Zavon screamed and said, “let's go get Momma.” We ran to the front door, and Zavon jumped and unlatched the screen door.

About the Book
When I was 6 years old my dress caught on fire and I was burned with third degree burns and almost died. But God had everyone in place that day for my miracle to happen. This is my story on how I survived.
About the Author
Phyllis Denise Lee was born and raised in Moultrie, Georgia and is the daughter of Walter and Mary Braggs. She graduated from Moultrie Senior High School and attended Albany State University. She moved to Williamsport, Pennsylvania in 1976 and married her husband, Rickey Lee in 1978. They have been married now for over 46 years.
