The reason a true understanding of the Holy Trinity continues to be beyond our grasp is we, as Christians, so often seek to comprehend the spiritual with our minds rather than our hearts, all to our own detriment. The Holy Trinity cannot be "figured" out in our minds. He must be experienced in order to be understood. Just as "the brightness of his glory" can only be found in the darkness of the cross. The Holy Trinity can only be found in the journey of a seeking heart.
We today are so image orientated in this modern media mindset that to be able to connect with the reader on such a person as the Holy Trinity Jim began by placing an image in the mind of the reader. Consequently, the first two chapters present an abstract portrait of our relationship to the one we are seeking. Then Jim takes this image on a journey through the scriptures, and it is in this journey we find Him whom we seek.

Just as “the brightness of his glory” can only be found in the darkness of the cross; the Holy Trinity can only be found in the journey of a seeking heart, and Jim takes us on a journey through scripture in search of the Holy Trinity in order that we come to know Him whom we seek, “even as also I am known” (1 Corinthians 13:12).
About the Author
Jim writes primarily for the “streets” by making scripture come alive with intensity and straightforwardness which, at times, lands him in straights in some circles and being embraced in others. Jim earned a BS and MA from Western Carolina University in Cullowhee, North Carolina, and a MDIV from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas. A widower, he lives in Cincinnati, Ohio with family.
