Farmland Frolic

Every year the Peterson family went on a long summer vacation. They had travelled far and wide to ride the fastest roller coasters, careen down the steepest water slides and hike in the most famous national parks. Not surprisingly, the kids were stunned when their mother announced that this year’s vacation would be spent with Uncle Bob. Why, they had heard about Uncle Bob, but never actually met him. “Isn’t he a … farmer?” asked Mike. When Mom nodded yes, Sue exclaimed, “What will we do all day on a farm?” Annie then asked what Uncle Bob was like. There was a long pause before Dad muttered something about never having met anyone quite like Mom’s brother. John said he didn’t want to go, but Mom was adamant. “We’ll be leaving this weekend,” she said firmly.
