In the Beginning

On an entirely different note, and a politically incorrect one, I want to talk about God’s creation and perfect design of males and females. There is a small explosion of transgender issues going on in our society. As I was preparing this study, I accidentally came across a verse in Deuteronomy 22:5 that I believe the Lord wanted me to see and talk about. Deuteronomy 22:5 tells us that “A woman must not wear men’s clothing, nor a man wear women’s clothing, for the Lord your God detests anyone who does this.”

Friends, God does not make mistakes! He knew you before you were even in the womb. Psalm 139:13–16 says, “For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place. When I was woven together in the depths of the earth, your eyes saw my unformed body. All the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be.”

If you are struggling with gender identity, the Lord wants to help you! If you are a man, you were wonderfully made to be a man. If you are a woman, you were wonderfully made to be a woman. God designed you specifically as a male or a female for a purpose! The Lord does not confuse us. Satan does! If you are battling gender issues, your battle is not against what sex you want to be, your battle is a spiritual one!

In your lesson, Genesis 1:27 tells us “God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them.”

It is crystal clear that God created you to be exactly what you were born as. God is a relational being. He sees, He hears, He touches, He weeps, He speaks, and He even smells! The scriptures that prove that were in a lesson you just did. God is there for you, my friend. If you reach out and ask Him to help you, it would be so much easier than changing your sexual identity. The Lord will bless you and He will help you correct your confusion, but He will not bless you if you go against His will as stated in Deuteronomy 22:5.

Every one of us has a struggle and we need to cry out to the Lord when that struggle seems like it is overtaking us. Our all-powerful, all-knowing, ever-present Lord already knows what your struggle is. He is waiting for you to call to Him for help because He wants a relationship with you!

God’s creation was and still is perfect. He does not make mistakes, and nothing is impossible for God. He can get your mind and body in sync with each other if you will allow Him to help you with it!

In my Bible study group, we have prayed hard for two transgender people. After much prayer, both people returned back to their birth gender.

Satan opposes God. He is God’s adversary. God commands us to multiply. We cannot multiply when we are confused about our gender, or when we have an unnatural relationship with a person of the same sex. Think about it! It is a powerful deception that Satan causes! The Lord would never give a command in the Bible and then create you in a way that would contradict that command.
