Let it Go—02/10/2019 I need to let go of the pain from the past and present. I held onto the pain for far too long, not knowing the pain it caused me. I was angry from everything being put on me. I could only take so much before my heart started to bleed. I was wounded from unforgiveness and anger over the years; I cried so many tears. I wanted an out and I needed an escape. I first had to let it go and drop the case.

Hers is a journey of growth from self-reliance to dependence on God. This gift, her purpose from God, would have remained hidden in her notebooks, but God called on her to share it with the world. Like Gideon, she was in a hiding place, but God said it was time to run this race. If you’re ready to escape no matter your situation, you can—it’s never too late to be free.

About the Author
Monica Shavonne is a daughter, sister, and mother. She works full-time at the Bloomington Police Department in Minnesota and serves on the praise dance and children’s ministries at her church. She seeks to help empower women by motivating them, supporting them, and encouraging them to be who God created them to be.
