Day 22 – Still Here
Show me, Lord, my life's end and the number of my days; let me know how fleeting my life is. Psalm 39:4
Still here.
After the death of my granddaughter and daughter
I woke up each morning to the reality
I was still here.
Difficult to think about still being here when someone you love is not.
The world doesn't make sense anymore.
Everything is out of place.
Every sound seems amplified and muffled at the same time.
Every thought, draining.
You're still here.
And life keeps moving.
The sun sets.
The sun rises.
And yet, another day begins.
Reflections
Where are you on this journey?
Act on It
Draw or put in words exactly where you are emotionally today and
where you want to be sometime in the future.
Words of Encouragement
God still has a plan we may never understand. Trust Him, even when
it doesn’t make sense.
Prayer
Jesus, help me to sense Your presence each day. Amen.
